To get iPhone 5 or wait?

Hi, I am a NSF that is going to ORD around early June. I am excited to get an iphone as I simply have enough of using Blackberry (cause it is the only company that offers a range of smartphones with no camera). Naturally, being this close to ORD, I started thinking about my smartphone choices. I decided to choose iOS over Android.

My question (to seek suggestions) is this: I am actually wanting an iphone and ipad but the new release will come out in late Q3. Is it better to wait? I am actually not too particular about the specs, but I would like to see a 13MP camera as it will be better to take photos when overseas. The current iPhone 5 camera is only 8MP.

i'd wait.... cos if u get it june, it won't be long once Q3 of the year comes by and u'd probably regret for not waiting just a little bit more

The 5S is coming within the next 2-3mths so might as well wait. I'm also waiting for it.

Buy now then upgrade again in Q3.
iPhones keep their resale value relatively high over time and its cheap to upgrade.

True. Resale values are high for iPhones so getting one now and soon upgrading for another would be a good choice.

Earliest for apple to launch iPhone 5S is probably around sept. it's a good 4 months. But I'll advise u to wait if u can tahan. Lol

If u need it just get it. If the next iphone is supposed to be within 1 month I would wait, but most likely the next iphone will come around sept-october so much better to just get it now.

For camera, I don't think normal people would see much difference between 8mp and 13mp.

It will definitely be out in Q3.

If you can wait, why not. I'm waiting too haha.

But of course the iPhone 5 is good the way it is... It's remarkably fast still, great camera, ultra slim and light (albeit prone to scuffs). The 8 VS 13MP camera difference won't be that obvious, unless you load your pics on the comp and zoom them.

I do hear that the 5S might pack a 2MP frontside cam with some exclusive features like dual shot and biometrics. Not sure how true is it. But I'm quite positive the 5S will have much better LTE compatibility and speed.

Just get it iphone 5 has good resale value so you can sell it away next time

Plus if even new iphone out you also can't buy it so soon, it will always be out of stocks, or sellers will be jacking up the prices....

iPhone 5 price in 2nd hand market will plunge once iPhone 5s or 6 is announced. I will prefer to wait though.. and maybe new ios features are available in new iPhone too..
