Jus saw newegg selling ROG Crosshair VIII hero wifi for almost SGD$600, whereas the sls vendor sell at $700+++, i was actually planning to buy x570 aorus master, but i jus stunned like vegetable.

Should i get it?? OR is it to good to be true

I wonder what are the stats like on DOA nowadays as I've not come across any hardware (especially from the big name brands). If the free shipping is the preferred path I would seriously consider it!

In the early days of Ryzen 1, when the tomahawk artic was not available locally, bought 1 and was hit with an usb surge issue and kept having the will power down and have to self pay for the RMA return shipping

from what i gather from different webs like amazon, newegg and some from pcpartpicker, DOA are most likely to be connector issue like the m.2 and usb ports, some other worst case scenario will be dimm slot cant recognize and lan port dont work like fairytales

Good to know. I personally love to build everything locally here in Singapore and we have good old SLS. Have to shop around a fair bit but if you buy everything from a single shop then there is room for negotiation.

Not done any builds from buying online - YET! so may still look to source locally moving forward. Seriously toying with the idea of a NZXT H1 build - decisions decisions!

The Singapore pricing can be a little strange. The Asus Hero is more expensive but the Formula is cheaper compared to overseas.

Ditto for the Aorus Extreme which one of the guys here bought for a very good price shortly after launch.

Just shop around and compare prices.

Asus is one brand which is better bought local unless you can deal with a difficult overseas RMA process. (Asus USA is not particularly helpful.)

i agree on the asus price in singapore is quite odd, i have looking out for 3 months on x570 mobo, im still waiting, probly til jun or july where b550 mobo is out then i will start to buy x570 as the price will still drop further

read alot from reviews online, asus really dont hav a good reputation on dealing with rma process/issues well (dont know whether is it true?)

i jus hav to pray if price drop further and i will get it, if DOA then probly i request a refund or get a new one. a few of my friend also say this could be a way too

the more expensive the thing is, the more cheaper it is to get from oversea
the oversea price adjust to global market rapidly
our local price is not align to global market, is aligned to the the period when they got the stock so if they buy it at 6xx, they gonna sell u with profit margin and never gonna go below that unless they desperately need clear stock
