Tokyo Banana in reality not nice~

Bought a box of tokyo bananas at a kiosk at Tokyo station to try to find out what the fuzz about this food product but did not buy any home in my recent trip to Japan. For travellers who want to buy this as souvenirs, you can find this being sold at a cheaper price in the duty free shops inside Narita Airport after passing the custom check point. I saw many boxes on the shelves (subject to availability). They are also sold in the shops in the departure hall of the airport but are more expensive.

i actually prefer the Baumkuchen one lol. and i prefer to buy the pack of 4 from the shops around tokyo station as elsewhere only sell the box of 8.

i think it cost 1050jpy..roughly $11-12

i personally feel tokyo banana not nice also..the shiroi koibito also..nothing special i feel

no choice ba, they got overhead cost to cover. the small pack of 4 was 500 yen and below depending on flavor. not sure how much after tax increment.

Agree, thats why want to buy from fellow travellers ma.
I think its not that great as well - but its a great gift, unique and not so many people tried it yet.

It's also gender neutral - good for exchanging gifts below certain value.

Juchheim opened a bakery for baumkuchen in Takashimaya a few years ago. You can buy there as well. It's at the basement food area.
