Need advice for 3 travelling from tokyo to osaka. What is the most economic way to travel there ? I visit tokyo first and want to go osaka for 2 nite before coming back to tokyo. My airline ticket is round trip from sin-narita airport

The cheapest way is to go by domestic flight rather than train. I assume you don't have a rail pass otherwise you won't be asking this.

ANA experience japan fare or JAL yokoso, I think both are around 126sgd (10600 yen) one way, between any cities in Japan. That's about 756sgd for 3 person return tokyo-osaka. You have to buy this ticket outside of Japan, and they will ask for your SIN-NRT reservation code or e-ticket number to confirm you are a visitor.

most economical is by overnight bus.

budget domestic flight may be quite cheap also when there is promotion. however there is the hassle of travelling to and from airport, and checking in luggage etc.

most convenient and probably fastest is by shinkansen. but that is the most costly also. will be worth it to get the 7-day JR pass to cover the shinkansen trips

Agree with VD. 3d/2n? Total waste of time travelling (unless you do overnight bus both ways ... and even then waste of time, might as well do osaka+the rest of kansai in a future trip).

Kansai area i feel need have around 1-2 weeks to explore. Especially Kyoto itself is massive!
2 nights in Osaka definitely not enough
