Top Up Degrees

Good day all, I am a newbie (ok not so young as I am in the workforce for 11 years) seeking advice here on top up degrees in business or marketing offered by BMC, SAA, SMF, Kaplan, MDIS, MIS, Informatics or TMC and which ever private schools are offering them. Is there any former students who have graduated from these few schools holding a degree? Would need some help here?

As I would like to have a feel of how the courses would be like but the sessions from the course consultants aint help me much except BMC who let me see their notes for a while to let me know what is the course about. I would appreciate it if any of the forum members have old notes to trade, sell or contribute to me which will help me in the selection.

Appreciate it if any of you guys/ladies can help me.

each of the schools offer many degrees. maybe you want to list the specific degrees that you are looking at?

I am looking at mostly their business management and marketing degree courses...especially in their top up university programs.

I have shortlisted a few such as

Beacon Int College - BA in Business Studies Uni of South Wales
MDIS - Uni of Sunderland Ba in Marketing
BMC - Uni of Herfortshire BA in Business Admin
Informatics - Uni of Portsmouth - Ba in Marketing
ERCI - Uni of Greenwich BA in Business Management
Auston - Uni of LSB - BS in Business Management
Aventis - Uni of Derby/Uni of Kingston -BA in Business Management
TMC - Uni of Gloucestershire BA in Business Management
Kaplan - Uni of Portsmouth BA in Business Admin
SAA - Uni of Plymouth BA in Business Admin
MIS - Uni of West of England - BA in Marketing
Academia @TVI - Uni of Bath Spa Ba in Business Admin

I think you should choose schools with better reputations.

Top up degree normally is 12 months

Might as well you top up another 4 months and get a proper degree.

Murdoch degree can be done in 16 months (if you pass all the first time) and got a good reputation

Top up deg normally offered by UK uni for working adults with diploma and work experience to upgrade themselves. You jus need to do the final year.

Kaplan BIrmingham city uni top up costs 13k and takes 12 months.

Might as well go for single major murdoch "full" two years degree. Costs 16k and 16 months.

A difference of 3k and 4 months but open up more doors.

imo, most employers can't tell the difference.
nope, I don't think murdoch is better received.

The syallabus and teaching staff for the Year 2 direct entry Commerce programme and all the Masters Programme are taught my on-shore Australian Tutors.

As for the curriculum and course notes, you can always go down to the school at 97 Tank Road to see for yourself. As an ex-student, I must say I am very satisfied with the ROI, if that's an accurate measure of, whether the cert is worth the paper it's printed on

As for the whole list of schools you listed, I can't possibly comment. I can only say that I chose Ngee Ann for the very obvious reason that they only offer programmes from Adelaide and nothing else.
