Go to disk management and you should see an unallocated partition about 1TB.

You need to format in GPT (GUID Partition Table) for 3tb support. Check your mobo drivers.. should come with it..

Think GPT is a form of partition and not really some driver, I could be wrong though. I encounter this problem previously with my 3TB HDD on other mainboard. Why not you try under disk management, delete the all the volumes and partition so that you got only got one unallocated drive of 3TB (if you cannot even see the 3TB in total, then I am not sure what else u can do). Format as a new partition under GPT rather than MBR and see if it works ?

Yes ... go to Disk Management and the set the 3TB as GPT (instead of MBR) and you should be able to see full 3TB liao.

From what I know .. for harddisk >2TB ... MUST format with GPT ... if not you'll see 2TB and another partition of the balance space.

Yeah, I also just bought a Toshiba 3 TB HDD and was not able to use it.

When using the HGST GPT Disk Manager it was not able to detect the HDD.
