Wifey iPhone 7 Plus Touch ID cracks and now it won't work at all prompting to use Assistive Touch instead.

Luckily bought AppleCare+

Anyone face the same issue? How much would it cost to repair it?

Why don’t you just call Apple to ask instead of checking here? It is faster and more reliable.
