Try it in another location and see if you have the same problem. If not, then you can isolate it to that particular chain of equipment.

can't really do that in office, because that is the ext to my desk, and I only charge at my desk. think i never encounter it at home, iirc

then most likely is an issue with the charger/extension/socket at work. if you ever tio static or minor electrical shock at work from devices that are plugged in to power, that would be further proof of bad grounding.

Try it again when charging, I'd noticed on some phones there is erratic touchscreen behaviour when charging through poorly grounded AC sockets/power strips.

Such problem generally occur when you are using a 3rd party cable, be it you're using an original charger or not.

doesn't necessarily need to be 3rd party cable. Anything in that whole chain from phone to AC can be the cause.

Edited: Arrggg, even with original cable, also got this random touch problem. Next up will be the USB to 3-pin plug that i use in office. After I switch to connect to my laptop, it seems alright.......
