Hello,

I always feel saddened whenever I pass by Pet Lovers Centre. Seeing animals confined in tiny glass enclosures, appearing inactive and listless, is heartbreaking. I saw a guinea pig lying motionless and alone in a box in one of the outlets. It didn't look like it was happily napping at all. Its body appeared limp and lifeless, which was deeply upsetting to see.

Instead of separating them into 30 × 30 cm boxes, stores should provide larger, more suitable spaces where animals can move freely and socialize safely.

I sincerely hope Singapore will improve animal welfare. Perhaps pet shops should stop selling live animals, leaving responsible, qualified breeders to provide better care.

Animals are living beings, not products. Keeping them in inadequate conditions is unacceptable. Singapore must do better for animal rights!
Thank you for reading....

Honestly I think it’s about time. When I was looking for a dog, I went to a few pet shops just to see, and some of the puppies looked so young and tired, all stuck behind glass. Made me quite sad. If the new rules mean shops must show proper health records and treat the animals better, I’m all for it. In the end I’d still tell anyone looking to check out the shelters first. So many good dogs waiting there.

Thank you Whatthefoxsay. I was thinking creating Change.org about the pet shop selling animals.
It is heartbreaking !! animals need the same needs as human !!!!!
Anyone who is willing to for this change, please reply. 1 might be hard but if 100 we can CHANGE !
