over here, we have people who say 7th oct incident never existed, laugh at primary school kids casualty at kota Kinabalu earthquake, and say massacre didn’t have enough people died. And that calling all these out is considered as virtual signaling.

Or are all these rampant in Reddit also?

For e.g ppl can start a thread posting a fake AI image of a celebrity whatever and ppl can pretend having a normal conversation or having fun criticizing the subject. Fake news is allowed here and you can post just about anything quite literally. Truly for the low propensity crowd.

And you think here is any different or more accommodating? Go start a thread discussing religion or news regarding religion and see how it ends. Even if its calm, intellectual, or well-intentioned discussion quoting verses from scripture ad-verbatim, usually ends with moderators locking or deleting it quickly. HWZ is bounded by local laws governing social cohesion, race, and religion that are among the strictest in the world with zero tolerance. Reddit is hosted in the US and not bounded by such laws and protected by their first amendment. Rules are decentralized and context based. Different subreddits have different rules and none of the shenanigans.

But other IT and systems related sub not so bad. Just be warned.
