I am using TP-link mesh setup at home (Deco M5 x 2 units) and it is very reliable.

Looking at the new x20, I am surprised the x20 3 unit bundle is cheaper than Deco M9 (3 Pack bundle) in Qoo10.

Maybe you can build up the network from there... I feel X60 is overkill and is not so value for money.

X60 certainly better? But whether its worth the money, and whether you have clients to support it is a question mark.

This old rule apply :
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

As kashix mentioned "these models not much review and feedback" . Its up to your to venture and test it out and share with the bros in this forum.

Wah thanks for supporting :D yes golden rule in IT, not broke, don’t fix it.

TS, you want buy all these untested/unproven models. You get it to work then all is good. If you buy le doesn’t work, don’t expect anyone to be able to help you. :s13: cause no one here using lol.

It's like more than double the price, this XT8. No one considers cost when it comes to routers?

I am using Starhub 1GB with TP Link X20.

I am connecting the satellite units using LAN.

Sometimes the WIFI unit connection speed is quite slow. Just reboot it and it will be better. Not sure why.

For the price for WiFi 6 support and 2 Gigabit ports on each unit, it's meets my needs.

Dunno why TP-Link.sg remove the X20 from their lineup.... suddenly cannot find them.

But still can get from other reseller but imported from korea...

Is it exclusive to ISP so not selling retail?

Sorry I only checked Lazada the item is listed no longer available...

I think go to Shopee also item listed as ‘Sold Out’...

so popular meh this X20..?

Haha, another possibility is that it is not popular at all so not much production. :D

In the end I think it is just a temporary thingy, China production just goes back to normal recently due to the Covid-19 situation.

BTW, Deco X20 is the low end dual band AX1800, Deco M9+ is high end tri-band AC2200, if using wireless backhaul, M9 + is still better. So it is quite understandable that X20 is cheaper.

But if one understands Chinese and okay to go with the cheaper China routers, then there are more cheaper WiFi 6 mesh solutions from Taobao.

Eg: Huawei AX3 Pro + AX3, RMB329+RMB229

Or this one from TP-Link, XDR-1850 AX1800, the design looks not bad if you want something more Mesh look than the above Huawei. RMB219 per piece.

Sorry to hijack..

ay I know if I can buy a single deco to add as the 3rd node to my Lyra ac2200 setup?

My Lyra ac2200 had 3 nodes originally and 1 died.

Or is there any other cheaper alternative to this problem?

You can get a single pack lyra trio as replacement. Or get an aimesh router instead, use the 2 lyra as nodes.

I am using the old M5 trio, any significant improvement if using x60?

Not much unless you have WiFi 6 clients.

Also it is a dual band system. If you plan to use wireless backhaul, then the performance will suffer as well, just like the M5.

Hopefully they will come out with a triband version just like the M9+.

If you have Ethernet backhaul, then that is not a problem.
