There are dedicated thread for high end TP-Link WiFi 7 Sevice Provider Models: EB810v (SH) and HB810 (ST), but no thread for HB710 (SH/MR), HB611-SGST (ST) and HB410 (SH).

So this thread is created for the discussions of the mid-range offerings:
HB710, HB611-SGST and HB410.

For EB810v and HB810 related discussions, please go to the following threads.

HB710: bundled free for some StarHub 5Gbps/10Gbps plans, S$192 from StarHub, a bit cheaper in Carousell.

It is one of the most cost-effective 10G capable triband WiFi 7 routers out there.

Wireless coverage is so so but pretty stable. You can mesh it with another HB710 if you need more coverage.

HB611-SGST: bundled free for some SingTel 3Gbps/5Gbps plans, S$200+ from SingTel, quite a bit cheaper in Carousell at around S$150.

It is more suitable for 3Gbps plan and not 5Gbps plan, as it has dual 2.5Gbe ports and dual 1G ports.

Good thing is that it has 6GHz band (triband BE11000).

Wireless coverage is so-so. You can mesh it with another HB611-SGST if you need more coverage. Recently Singtel is offering 3Gbps recontract at S$39.90 per month with two HB611-SGST units.

HB410: bundled free with Starhub 3Gbps plans (at S$29.55 per month), S$120 from StarHub, a bit cheaper in Carousell.

It has dual 2.5Gbe ports and dual 1G ports.

Wireless rating is dual band BE6500 without 6GHz band.

Wireless coverage is so-so. You can mesh it with another HB410 if you need more coverage and if you can use Ethernet Backhaul. If you need to use wireless backhaul, this model is not recommended. You may want to upgrade to two HB710 instead.

Common problems of TP-Link Service Provider models:
1) less FW features compared to consumer models, for example, no Wireguard VPN server and Client function

2) less often FW updates. HB710 has no FW updates for one year plus already.

Potential problems:

1. TP-Link EasyMesh mix with consumer model and Service Provider models:

6GHz wireless Backhaul may not work

2. Common TP-Link EasyMesh problems

1) Guest Network and IoT network do not work on the mesh nodes
2) MLO Wireless Backhaul may not work
3) Seamless roaming performance may not be as good as TP-Link Deco Mesh

Alternatives but with higher cost: just for examples, there are many different options.

HB710: Archer BE805, Deco BE85 for StarHub/MR 10Gbps plan or SH 5Gbps plan

HB611-SGST:
Archer BE805, Asus RT-BE92U for SingTel 5Gbps plan.
Archer BE550, Deco BE65 for SingTel 3Gbps plan.

HB410: Archer BE550, Deco BE65 for StarHub 3Gbps plan.

Lower cost alternative for 3Gbps plans: Archer BE230 and Asus RT-BE58U

Regret getting the StarHub hb710 in the resale market and use it for my 10gb whizcom service.
The hb710 (riser) connected to my 10gb switch (riser) and goes to my other hb810 at living room. Signal had been dropping and connection between the 2 router keep dropping, it was setup via cable. So it shows connected via cable with 10gb connection, but only can last for a day or 2. Then it would connected via wireless instead.
I thought it's my switch that gave me the issue, but my other pc that connected directly via the switch is connected constantly. Only the connection between the 2 routers would drop. If I removed the lan cable to plug it in again, the connection between the 2 routers would show connected via cable again. I've been plugging in like this for almost a month. Clueless.
Any good advice on how to resolve this ?

1. Remove the switch and try again. What is the switch model used?
2. Change the Ethernet cable
3. Bring the HB710 to the same place with HB810 and then connect the two units directly with Ethernet cable. Then see if that helps. This is just for troubleshooting purpose.

References:
1) Changing the cable may fix the issue

2) Reference 2: for Deco Mesh but the troubleshooting methods may be the same.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I'm using all brand new Cat8 patch cable from ugreen.
Anyway, I was thinking switching the 810 into the riser and 710 at living room. Do away with the switch.
See how it goes, wifey wfm and needed internet today. Will try to switch it tomorrow.
Will post here again to see if it works.

@xiaofan thanks for starting this thread. Is the HB710 comparable in terms of single AP wireless coverage with the RT-AX86U?

Currently the RT-AX86U doesn't reach my kitchen toilet well on 5ghz. The placement of the HB710 will be the same.

Same question, my AX86U seems to be losing out without 10gbps port. Unable to throughput higher wireless speed since it’s 2.5G port only

Reset my whole network this morning, took me half a day to setup everything. The main unit now is hb810 (ST) unit and hb710 (SH) as agent. Removed the switch and connection between the two unit via backbone cables.
Hope this would works and connection won't drop again.
The HB810 setup is really a pain in the ass as signal is not stable and keep dropping, having need to re setup again and again. After a few reset and retry finally it's up and running again.

My test shows the following in terms of coverage. I think HB710 has so-so wireless coverage and cannot compare with RT-AX86U in terms of coverage.

Archer BE805 > =
Asus TUF-BE6500 China version with Australia region setting (no Asia region setting) >
Asus RT-AX86U China version Asia Region Setting (should be the same as local version) >
TP-Link HB710

I do find the HB series signal is not strong enough. My trusted AX3000 deco have better coverage.

So best bet is to get another BE805 as AP?
