I am looking for LED track light bulb replacement. Just wondering for same 5w bulb have choice of 12v and 220v...

Anyone knows what is the difference?

The base is still a track. Another pro is that you can change to any kind of light. Eg: pendant lights, spot light etc. Just terminate it to the track light connector like I did for the kids room as in photo. My whole house all tracks everywhere. I'm the future when I don't like the light structure, I can just change it accordingly and just fix it to the track. It's modular in a way.

Jialat I bought H style lights online and thot can easily buy track in Sg. Turns out its uncommon, anyone knows whr can find? Thx

so track lights are not the same types. There are indeed different styles.
Which is the most common in singapore????

Sg tracklights are mostly from taiwan using L system 2 wire.
China NVC brand is H system 3 wire.
I thot can start replacing my old yellowing toyoatar light with taobao ones but seems tracks all not compatible.

This transition to LED not simple. Even fluorecent tube replacement having problems. Led tubes 16W cant produce same light output as current 36W fluorescent tube

My taobao lights arrived. I bring along to shops to test. Now installed..seems fine.

I've also bought track lights from taobao and didnt know there was different track types, and am having trouble finding the H-type. Could you share which shops you went to that had these tracks?

I have LED downlights & cove lights with LED strips.

When downlights spoil it could be the bulb or driver, if driver good luck cos contractor had to cut a whole in the false ceiling to replace it then patch back.

They are also not lasting. Within a year one LED strip blew leaving half my bedroom in the dark. Few months later one downlight in my bedroom blew. Shortly after one living room downlight blew.

My parents flat also similar issues.

True, many people though LED can last for long but actually not. The electronics portion have same life to start with, then we have different level of quality with LED too.

Another issue of LED light is they may not be plug and play type. So when it come to end life, you may need to replace whole light vs just the LED bulb.

Consider track light for living room but worry for dark spot ? Any advises for this installation.. was consider track light in front of TV ceiling as seached... and learn about wide beam... it is truth and how to know this LED is wide beam..
