i once saw Challenger having a poster outside their store to trade in old macs but i dont see them anymore.

You can check with the Apple Resellers here in Singapore. Found 2 from their website.

i think if you're gonna trade-in, expect to be lowballed with the value of your old mac.

because these shops need to earn quite a big margin to pay for rent, salary etc even those small booths that offer to buy old computers.

Best to sell it to an individual then buy a new mac under the EDU discount or get a refurb from the Apple Online Store which as good as new anyways.
