PMed Threadstarter few days back but no reply.

Not saying his wrong, he may have saw something we did not.

I shorted from 0.8011 to 0.7626

Looking at how AUD move in the last few days, I wouldn't be touching it now.

But then again, it depends on his timeframe and strategy.

1 million units is equal to 10 future contract size right?

Oanda's 100,000 is 1 contract, so i assume its the same for all.

1 AD Futures Contract is AU$100,000.
10 AD Futures Contract is AU$1 million.
This, you are right.

However, Oanda's 100,000 AUD/USD unit is NOT 1 AD Futures Contract.

This is because:

1. Futures Contracts are traded in CME Globex Exchange, which are transparent and centralized controlled. Oanda is a CFD provider, which mean you are trading with a middleman. Hence, transactions are not transparent. They can and will manipulate the price and spread to their advantage.

2. Futures charges fixed commission. While Oanda uses spreads. Oanda having a conflict of interest here, as its profits come from you executing much trades as possible. Resulting in them increasing spreads unnecessary, forcing their clients into executing orders prematurely.

If you are serious about trading, please don't use CFD.

Thx

Nice.

Strict criteria is required for a good swing trade like this, hence it does not come often. Patience is the key. But when it comes, I stand firm and whack hard.

Stay tuned!

Agreed. Patience is damn important in trading/investing.
Would like to know why you did what you did too but I suppose that's trade secrets.
