Is Tradepac price list still valid if just buying parts from them and not full set? Their CPU+mobo combo is significantly cheaper than the rest but the list is dated 24 Feb. Not sure if go there they will say price not updated? First time DIY building by parts so not sure how the SLS price list works. Intend to get the rest online.

Tradepac's pricing depends on how much the boss/minions like your face

If you know what you want and just wanna buy and bugger off, Tradepac is fine.

If you want to ask for advice or dunno how to avoid being upsold, avoid.

Was looking from their Facebook post. Think that date is just when hwz did their last check?

hwz updated the pricelist every weekend...

and the tradepac pricelist on hwz has cheaper memory prices shows that it is different from the pricelist on tradepac facebook...

That mean must do homework beforehand if buying from them.
And know your stuff before going.

do your homework, research your prices and parts.

E.g. go other shop ask for quotes loh, then compare the prices

Then lastly go TP ask quotes for same parts, then just get from TP liao. no harm, just make sure all the parts are sealed and new can alr.

If they ask you change certain stuff, just insist you want the parts you want, they will most probably find it for you haha!

Its quite common knowledge when buying stuff from sim lim, whatever it is. Do your own research, know what you want and stand firm on your decision. Never go around asking for recommendations or be easily swayed by them.

That aside, tradepac offers one of the most competitive prices around, especially if you know how to bargain.

source: I've done by research and price comparisons, and they are my go-to shop.

Check the items you are getting is the one you are purchasing as well. I bought some parts last time and they swapped the items with some other lower value ones. Good thing I checked through my items and sound it out. The person just act blur.

Bought lots of computer parts from tradepac in the past. The **** can be quite friendly and can laugh laugh and bargain with them. Will always ask them for best price and if the price they give not good will just walk away and go check out other shops and compare prices.

There was once I bought a cpu+mobo+ram from them and they give me the wrong ram heng I check the item and realize that it's the wrong ram and just ask him to exchange the correct item for me. The dude like act blur also. Just my experience from my many tradepac experience.

If you newbie scare chop carrot just go pcthemes. But if you lao jiao SLS shopper and you know your stuff can try and get good deals and bargain hard at tradepac. Chances are you might be able to get a good deal and good price compare to other shops.
I always end up buying at tradepac because the price they give are most of the time cheaper then other shops but must really bargain for the best price then will be lower. Other shops like fuwell, cybermind usually sells at RRP and price is fix.

Their price list the mobo+cpu combo price and some other listed prices is only valid if you buy full system from them. If you only buy one part from them chances are its going to be price higher then what is listed on the price list.

Need to bargain at TP.

Should be cheapest in SLS, other shops not too keen to entertain bargainings :s22:
