Im a little bit outdated nowadays but how come suddenly everyone is recommending people to go tradepac now instead of PC Themes?

I thought their reputation is, or at least was, quite bad last time but now even moneyface also recommend that people buy from there now. Did something change or what at sim lim?

Coz of pricing. They have the means to undercut other shops and give better discounts.

PCT sell at rrp with little discounts given.

But, TP are for those who knows what they are getting and wun b swayyed over with their selling points. Another way is to ownself bargain and buy, bring back home to self build or bring down to GS shop at #02-32 and pay him some kopi fee to help u build up.

Between so so reputation and low prices, which would u choose?

Even if you know your stuffs, tradepac is a no-no. Shady business practices and annoying salesman. Their price seen from the pricelist also cannot be any lower.

PCT is the way to go for everyone. Don't expect them to give you lower price if you don't ask for it

If you know SLS, you know any shop can give you same or lower price than TP except for 2 items due to their "business practices"

TP is the cheapest.

However last week for my gpu i found pct charging only $4 more and since svc so good i bought from them instead of tp

TradePac pricelist's stocks and figures are only for reference nia.

Sometimes ask either out-of-stock, deprecated or the price is now different (can be higher or lower, subject to certain hidden unwritten rules e.g. bundle pricing). Sometime quite frustrating or hard to plan and buy things from TradePac. Be prepared to be disappointed.

Only happy if got stock at stated price.

Shopping at Tradepac can save anywhere from $50-100 on a full PC system compared to PC Themes.

If you have something specific in mind, Tradepac probably has the lowest prices but they are always very busy and tend to ignore you, especially on the weekends. I wouldn't buy any of their PC packages... their i5 and i7 packages include the nightmare Headway "500w" PSU.

My friend ( A newbie at this ) want to get a new comp and asked me to give him a recommendation and i was coming in to check stuff for him.. then i scanned through the forums and like almost everyone was asking people to buy at Tradepac and i was wondering did something happened to PC Themes cause everyone used to recommend going there.

I do know that Tradepac always had the cheapest price but people generally dont recommend others to buy from them cause of their reputation unless the buyer actually know what they are looking for. Thats why i was wondering what happened.

His budget is $1000 or so. Monitor not required. Play League of Legends and some random non graphic intensive game. Would prefer to buy from PC Themes as my friend have not much knowledge about these and i dont think i'll be going with him so i dont want him to get whacked badly...
