It's always better to wear the correct shoes for the correct terrain.

But It's not a definite no to wear a road cushion shoes for trail running.

For road running, depending on your feet type, the shoes are designed to aid in absorbing the landing impact and to provide better stability.

Check out our article on How to choose the correct pair of running shoes.

Using road running shoes for trail in Singapore still ok. If you go more challenging trail terrain, especially if its really wet and muddy then better to invest in a trail running shoe cos road shoe usually not much grip

the main difference is the lugs to handle the difficult terrain and the rock plate.
trail shoes tend to have a more aggressive sole and that will get worn down by road running..
but as satki general has mentioned, singapore trails aren't very technical so you should be fine using road shoes for both kinds of terrain. check out the f-lite 195s!

Lol
I see..
But I tot that trail shoes are more durable and thus, should not wear down as fast as road shoes?
