Hi all,

Was wondering if you guys ever transfer data from old phone to new phone at the phone shop after doing trade-in for new phone?

Will the shop allow you to spend time and do it on your own at their shop? Or is there is other ways to do it at home beforehand (ie. back-up to cloud etc.)

Pls kindly share your experience.

transfer the data can do it at your own time,

nowadays with apps like "Smasung smart switch" or "Move to iOS" really simple. Paying someone to do it for you really wasted money.

Not paying them to do it. Was just wondering if people usually do it on the spot after trade-in and buy new phone from the shop.

No la, your own personal data (PD) do it at home, why do it outside where there's unreliable/unstable connectivity and inconvenience. đŸ˜§

Oh wait, you’re buying new phone from them then likely they will extend the courtesy of letting you stand there for one hour, cos you give them business mah

how to do it at home when the deal is done at the phone shop???
Ahh, my bad, you're buying a new phone to transfer from an old phone, then bobian lo, transfer whatever you can on the spot.
Otherwise, go dark for a bit and back up everything at home first, then head over to buy/get the new phone, then head home to setup.
Since I believe some syncing/transfer require WIFI and mobile data is not usable/restricted by system.
