Use money-changer. Do a search. I think they charge about $10 per transaction if <$10K. Sure, they will earn on the foreign exchange rate.

If you have SG Maybank account, can use online funds transfer via internet banking to another Maybank in Msia. I think it's $15 charge. Still better than carrying so much cash around..

Actually this is how I transfer money to my relatives in malaysia.

I open an account in JB.
I keep the book.
I give the card to my relative
When needed, I deposit cash into bank at JB
At the same time i shop for groceries and pump petrol
my relative withdraw cash with card from somewhere faraway in malaysia

Transfer Money to Malaysia

Easiest way is either HSBC, CIMB or Maybank Services. Maybank charges service fee though. HSBC is free for their premier customers. CIMB is free for all.

The catch for all 3 banks is to have accounts in both SG and MY.
