i try to backup from android phone to laptop and now want to restore the backup to an iPhone but doesnt seems work.

Contacted Dr Fone customer service and finally get my transfer from Android to iOS done.

For those who want to share the license - don't think we are able to as the software only can be installed under 1 machine.

After you backup your WhatsApp locally to your android device, remember to backup a copy of WhatsApp database megastore.db.crypt12 file. Just to prevent that if software doesn't work you are still able to restore your chat.

WhatsApp verification code request only allow maximum up to 6 times per day (3 via sms and 3 via call). Waiting time get longer after each try (up to 25 hrs to reset). After 1 to 2 days it will back to normal.

WeChat can transfer all the chats using its own transfer function. Don’t need third party.

Were your videos and other media transferred properly? Were you able to search the contents all your old messages? These two were things that made me go for Backuptrans. I chose dr fone at first because it looks nicer, but looks aren't everything.

Pricing wise they are similar. Locked to 1 pc with capped number of devices per license.

Mine transferred everything. Dr fone will need to install a special version of the WhatsApp on the android phone before the transfer.
For super large data, example 30G, it will need several hours.
Was worried that it will fail, but eventually, it was successful.
Thus I have no complains on this software.

Just tried Backuptrans yesterday to transfer WhatsApp from Samsung note 9 to iPhone 11. It works quite well (almost 95% of chats and around 90% of media successfully transferred). Whole process took like 4hours +/- for 13gb of data.

His instructions are very clear and easy to follow. However take note at 8min27s in the video, before you click ok on the backuptrans program, remember close WhatsApp on iPhone. There are slight variations from the instructions on the things you need to do but generally just read your computer's on screen instructions will do.

I realised that drfone or backuptrans require a cable called Usbotg. Does anyone have a solution for the transfer from android to ios using WiFi or Bluetooth? I do not have a personal pc or USBotg cable
