Normally you won't see takaratomy transformers @ retail. OG occasionally will have some. Best is go CSC, funan, plaza sing top floor.

Price wise still getting online from japan cheaper for takaratomy transformers.

Got any online shops to recommend? Does they ship direct to SG?

I came across a Hong Kong site Toys United. Is the price there good to get from there, by the way the prices posted there anyone knows is it USD?

For Japanese TF i recommend Amiami if you are fast enough to get the releases LOL~

Or else will be Rakuten global... both you cant really find old transformers but new ones definitely cheaper, but the shipping depends on how big and heavy it is.

Normally ship by EMS quite expensive~, so better if you have others stuffs to share the shipping overall will be quite good price.


If you buying Takaratomy from local shop you are paying the price of the item + shipping + shop profit.

Get it from taobao web.
all TFs, may it be hasbro, takara or 3rd party, their OEM factory all from china.
So far all my TF are from taobao web. No problem with the quality. But u have to beware of some seller as some of them just wanna make money, they dont really tell u the quality of the TFs u buy. they may sell u the KO kind which sucks to the max.

I would say not as good as Fansproject items~

But the plastic quality is on par or equal to FP, or else the paint job wise not very good~

Also some parts are quite loose as some of the people who own this encounters.

Pegs are not loose, loose parts are mostly from the guns handle that can bend, wrist part is not say loose but it can't take the weight of the gun if its held straight.

If you can oversee these problems, you can get it.
All the elbows knees hip all very stiff~

upper thigh joint connecting to the chrome thigh part is too stiff due to the strong spring, better use a screwdriver to loosen the main screw a bit before splitting the legs or else i scared the chrome part will break.


Also waiting for TF-02

This tf-01b according to reviewer, is a great improvements compare to tf-01
