2) my return flight to SG is 7.40am, means I have to be at airport by 6am, and leave my hotel in Taipei at 5am. any recommendation on how to get to airport by 6am?

I was thinking of booking airport transfer, my flight is early too. I think it's too early to take the train to airport too.

Erm I think the best is to stay in Taoyuan for one night. Check in a day before the flight and stay near the lines that connect to the airport. Taipei to Taoyuan under 1 hour and you can stroll Taoyuan and visit night market. Next morning you ownself time and go to airport lor.

Else, just stay in Airport Hotel the day before.

Another way is find those airport transfer service. Go and see Klook or KKday lah. Ask your hotel also can. So many ways. As long as it is from Taipei things are much easier. $55… still expensive meh. Even if engage private driver, you think $20 only meh…

Before Covi19, Taoyuan to Taipei is $50 SGD flat rate so now up by $5 to me is ok la.

Every hotel would likely have "tie-up" with drivers for such tours; this is more for reference in terms of where to visit and the number of hours and costs involved. I would suggest that you check with the hotel you are using, so that the driver picks you up directly there. There used to be a lot of cab drivers advertising such "tours" at XiMengDing as well early in the mornings, but that was pre-covid, so not sure if they are still there.

Alternatively, if there is any driver or cab driver that you used during your trip and you like their service, you can also engage them for the day tour, just chat with them and discuss the price accordingly.

hi, i had done so before within a day. I didnt stayover in jiu fen or keelung.
I started in the morning but by the time return to taipei, would be abt 8ish 9.

abt a 10hrs tour.

keelung yeshi is very straightforward. Just probably 1.5hrs and will be done.
