I bought Tokio Marine annual travel insurance a few months hearding about the good reviews and branding but their travel insurance is quite crappy. do not buy from them.

If you like to travel abroad, and have multiple connnection, never buy tokio marine. Usually, the risk is missed connection and you have to pay a rebooking fee or even a new ticket. Insurance plan like Tokio Marine does not cover this, but MSIG and DBS (MSIG) both cover 200, better than nothing. I think this is a very important when we have connecting flights across different carriers and different PNR code as the carriers are not obliged to rebook for free.

Just a comparison of the policy

Tokio Marine
Missed Flight Connection
Reimburses You for expenses incurred for additional accommodation, meals and refreshments due to missed connecting flight for at least 6 consecutive hours

MSIG DBS
In the event that the Insured Person misses his/her confirmed onward travel connection during the Journey while outside Singapore at the transfer point
due to overbooking or the late arrival of the Insured Person’s incoming, confirmed connecting scheduled conveyance and no onward transportation is available to the Insured Person within six (6) consecutive hours on the Insured Person’s arrival, We will pay the Limit of Amount Payable for this Section shown below.
