Travel insurance

For a peace of mind, I intend to buy travel insurance for my trip next month.

Been googled quite number of insurance companies and kinda confused and not sure what to look for in the package :s22:

I never buy travel insurance before so, care to recommend anyone?

bought aviva, one of the cheapest, managed to claim during my food posioning at bangkok. went bangkok see hopsital, then came back within 5 days see doctor again. have bad experience with ace insurance. Is cheaper than aviva, but when wanna claim, things got bad ...

same, i always use aviva as it's the cheapest. Free upgrade if you're holding the SAF insurance.

Never make claims before though.

That's great. Will check it out at Aviva then. Ya, sometimes cheap is one thing and easy to claim or not is another thing. I guess Aviva is cheap and good.... :D

hi... was an ex-staff of ace insurance. agree that claim process is bad.... but they are improving on it! dont lose faith:)

eh still prefer aviva, so far everything went good :)
haha one terribe experience is enuff ...

Yup, you choose lite u will be upgraded to plus haha...
not bad...
went bangkok 4d3n, the lite is 18.96 ... still affordable.
went taipei, 4d3n, the lite is 23.95...

they will automatically upgrade you to PLUS after you get the quote? :s11:

there will b a pop box if u are eligible hhaa....
some of my friends not safra members, they wont have a pop up box saying you can upgrade to plus ... the rest have ...

wooops haha. aviva cheaper.. checked my tw trip 20-27dec travel plus only $39:s12:

flew 10+ this year haha... but still bought aviva single plan instead of annual plan ... haha maybe no want to one time pay so much 250 for plus plan, 190 for lite plan ...

I'm a Safra member ... but no pop up box to upgrade to PLUS

My old SAF bought insurance is not covered by AVIVA, that's why there is no free upgrade (as indicated by its website: Travel Insurance - SAF - Aviva Singapore )

How to qualify:

1. You must be a SAF Group Term Life (GTL) insurance customer.
2. Your SAF GTL policy must be in force at the time when you’re applying for any of these three general insurance policies.
3. Apply online.
