This looks a like very good deal. Only gripe is the power point. (need to buy an adapter)

The self collect shop at Tampines 1 was formerly located at Century Square.

there's a power usb adapter bundled :_)

i think yoobao is the same.

I bought yoobao set previously the charging wire becomes hot when connected to the plug. Guess you need to check the wire is able to charge the yoobao when u buy the set. If the wire becomes hot and charging is slow, suggest you change the charging cable.

New trent has no issues as the charging cable is together with the plug. This is from my personal experience as I do not sell yoobao/new trent products.

I bought. I wonder when will they be delivering. Already paid

U need to send the reservation form via google docs...then wait for the confirmation email to collect. If no email, cannot go collect. This is what I understand from the emails. This is for self-collect.

But for postal orders, also need to send the reservation form.

So complicated. Must need to log in to see coupon. Wonder how many will know this.

Just got an email yesterday from CEF Ideas (merchant for bigdeal YOOBAO charger) saying that item is ready for collection. Have yet to collect. Anyone collected theirs yet? How to ascertain if this is the Original YOOBAO charger? smsed the guy and they say its original but how come it doesnt state on the website that its autenticity guaranteed? read in some threads that Yoobao actually doesnt offer 1 year warranty but maybe warranty is from the merchant itself.

But qn is: warranty on what basis? Are they gonna replace our Yoobao charger with a new one if ours died on us within the one-year period? Asked a lot of qns before buying the deal, but still merchant did not give specific answers. But since its cheap might as well try it out, hopefully these group deals sites wont cheat us by allowing merchants selling us fake goods.

Bro, I don't understand your way of thinking. So much doubts and concerns but blinded by the cheap price then questions after questions even after buying.

As to my knowledge, Yoobao is a China brand portable charger and doesn't have any knockoffs. As long as it charges and holds the appropriate mAh, what's there to be suspicious about?

BigDeal, Groupon and other SG promo websites don't have any fake brand products, if not they won't have any business at all.

You just do a simple search for any product on Amazon. Does it state "THIS IS THE REAL PRODUCT, AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE" in the description?

yes i understand people may be confused by my post; i bought it despite my reservations. its just a thinking-out-loud kinda qn; i dont know so i ask. cos ive read from some threads from some yoobao sellers here that there ARE some fake ones around. Yes, despite it being a china-made item, somehow i wont want an item that might pose a safety hazard i guess? of cos youre gonna say its still China product, how can we be sure that stringent QC is carried out; China item is still a china item.

my buying of the product is just to test out the item. only after reading this thread after i bought it, do i have reservations.

oh well my bad that i didnt do my research enough for asking something that i dont know here and instead gt blasted off. Maybe ill just see how my charger works when i finally collect it.

tons of fake yoobaos floating in the china market, seen many in actual and trust me, they look exactly like the authentic one even the packaging, you have to know how to differentiate them by looking at the build quality at certain edges of the product itself.

the only way to authenticate the product is through the yoobao authenticity sticker where you can scratch a portion off to reveal a 24 digit number where you'll check it against shenzhen's anti-replica site to see if this product has been checked before.
