TRIP REPORT - JAPAN MARCH 2015

Hi All,

Back from Japan 2 weeks ago (13 to 19 March) and I'm in the midst of preparing my blog entries for my trip.

Sadly, I didn't manage to see much blooming flowers. Only a few trees in Kyoto.

Docomo 7 days unlimited data card bought from taobao worked well on iPhone 5s. Super worth it buy. approximately $18 with shared shipping.

Had a crazy itinerary (almost touch & go) using the 7-day JR Pass.
Total expenditure including flights (china eastern), accommodation (airbnb) + everything = $2.8k

That time I went.. whatsapp phone call function not available yet =p

But I guess shouldn't be an issue. It's 4G speed for the first 200mb/day if I am not wrong.

However, do take note that this card is more friendly with iphone. I've read some reviews that android users may have some problem installing the APN or something.

That itinerary is crazy. You should have post here ask for opinions before you went on your trip, then maybe would have avoided all your problems like couldn't find sushi dai, missed your sky tree, etc. Anyway important is you enjoyed yourself lo.

Yes I agree that my itinerary is crazy.. but it was partially due to my japan rail pass purchase. wanted to maximise the value of the pass by covering more places.

Actually I'm not so sad with missing Sushi Dai after all as I managed to eat Endo Sushi in Osaka which was damn awesome. I will talk about it in my next post.

I missed skytree because of the 4 hour long concert T_T but then again the concert I attended was amazing too. so no regrets.

Visited any filming locations in japan?

I don't really watch Jap shows but I did visit some tourist attraction that some celebrities went before. Odaiba was also a popular filming spot for some dramas too. I'm more of a Kdrama person..

Not really worth a read unless you are a fan of aquariums. Otherwise, just skip this attraction and visit the aquarium in Okinawa instead..
