Tripod Accessory Plate

I currently have this Canon Tripod which was a free gift when I bought my Canon 60D DSLR. Recently took out the tripod wanted to use then I found out the Accessory Plate is missing.

Would like to ask what accessory plate should I buy to replace it and where can I buy it?

This looks like manfrotto base plate. You need to get the exact one.

If you are using the wimberley design, then any wimberley design plate also can.

Sorry I'm not really sure what base plate(?) I should be getting as I don't rmb how the base plate looks like. I only know the tripod has the word "Canon" on it. How can I check if I need a manfrotto or wimberley design?

Sorry I don't recall how the plate looks like as I've not been using the tripod for very long. So when I took it out and want to use it, I found out that the plate is missing.

$20 dollar abit chor, considering the fact that I rarely uses a tripod. I'm trying to go for the cheapest alternatives. Thanks for the advice nonetheless.

Honestly, I don't agree with 'rarely use' thus you try to skimp on it. Getting a good tripod is vital for photography, even if you use it only once a year, it's justified to get a good one.

For your issue, my suggestion is you bring it down to shops like Cathay Photo or TK Foto and seek their advice to getting a replacement.

If they have the spare part, you can purchase from them, if not, you can consider getting something sturdier and better which can last a longer mile of usage.

CF tripods with ball heads these days hardly cost over $300. With aluminium (aka heavy) tripods with ball heads about $170+.

It's a good investment to get a proper tripod.

You get a bag, short center column, comes with ballhead. It's pretty much value for money.
