Troubleshoot shop in SG?

I'm facing a problem that I do not know which part is causing. Few days ago when gaming I saw artifacts. Took out my GPU from my ASrock Mobo and then after that insert back in but doesn't work anymore. Both slots no output, GPU heats up and fan spins. Then I went to buy another GPU today. Insert in, also doesn't work. Then I went to buy a new Mobo to change. Turns out it can't work still, no ram no GPU with Mobo speaker plugged in and no beep. I really don't know which part has gone wrong. I build this PC myself but now I need a place to test and troubleshoot parts instead if buying mindlessly. Please recommend

What's ur cpu? Try running iGPU if ur cpu has integrated graphics

I did. It works on my H97 board but doesnt work on my Z87 board. Monitor just shows no output but all fans work

Changed CMOS pin location and caused my computer to not even boot. Then change back and unplug 8+4pin mobo connection then can boot up. But still no display

Perhaps you can consider changing to a brand new comp. Quite a hassle to troubleshoot.

Bring all your hardware, take it to SLS Level 4 PC Clinic... they'll troubleshoot for you for a small fee... and they'll fix it up for you too... I've used them numerous times... very good service... parts are a bit more expensive to cover their service. They'll quote you their fee before proceeding... usually takes about 1-2 hours and they're done...

im using superflower. its still in 5 year warranty period. shuld i RMA it? but how to verify that its the PSU is the troublemaker ahha, i dont have multimeter so cant do the paperclip test

you do not need a multimeter to do a paperclip test. you can just do with the paperclip and see if the fans spin. nowadays, most psu fans do not spin until they hit a certain workload or temperature. another way to confirm it is the psu problem, use another psu on your current rig.

at the rate you mentioning, you replaced your gpu and mobo and still does not work. it sounds like cpu fail but cpu rarely fails.. but still it might be possible..

Able to boot with h97 board but not z87 board? Are u using devil's canyon cpu? Might need to update bios for z87.

No display? Try buy another ram to test since u have already bought a new mobo and gpu. Soon u can have another working PC for other uses

if you have changed to the cmos pin to enabled, of course it will not be able to boot. that is for you to clear cmos and after doing so, have to put the pin back to original position only then it will be able to boot. unplug 8+4 pin for cpu? your cpu need so much power? have you ensure that the monitor cable is connected to your graphic card. or on some boards for eg. rampage 5 extreme, there is a tiny switch to turn off the lane. check if you might have done so.

otherwise you can try another graphic card..

The PSU fan spins. The CPU is fine because when I use my H97 board, wasn't able to output anything from the r9 graphics card but was able to use normally with the integrated graphics card from the CPU. It's just after changing the Mobo that the thing wouldn't display with or without external gpu

I put back the pins to the original position after clearing. There's no switch on my board. I'm using entry level z87 board. Bought new 3 years ago but never use before. My CPU is an 8 pin connector. The 8+4 I'm talking about is the motherboard power supply plug. Maybe is more than 8+4 idk but all the sockets are filled.

Obviously its ur bios for the z87 board. What u can do is get/borrow a cheap used normal haswell processor (pentium will be fine) to boot and update bios from the manufacturer's website.

See which version of bios supports the haswell-refreshed cpus and just update to that version will do.

PS: This applies as I assume it works when u pair it with the H97 but not the Z87*
