hi. today my computer keeps booting up and shutting down repeatedly. always within a few seconds of each other then after about 4-5 cycles, it just stays dead. this only began today.

yesterday the computer suddenly rebooted while i was watching a show and in the bios it shows the 5V in the red zone. like its very high voltage.

what could possibly be the problem?

Can u list out the parts of your pc? And maybe screenshot where u see?

Beside that u can try removing your GPU and the rest of the components and leave 1 ram in the system and see.

Remove everything except CPU, a single ram and graphic card. Boot up to see any problem.

its been awhile...

heres what i see in the bios.

slot RAM in one at a time, same result.
removed all storage, same result.
i dont think i can remove gpu because theres no other way to connect my monitor.
eventually i just put eveything back in then suddenly see this

not in the red zone but voltage is higher?

anyway, now its back to the first pic again.

any ideas?

5V supply very unstable. Either low impedence short at mobo or bad power supply. Remove all connection to device, measure 5V from PSU. Turn on PSU with pin.

Remove all USB connected devices except mouse and keyboard. Your 5V is way too low.

apart from mouse & kb, theres only headphones. didn't seem to help much unplugging it.

is there a way to isolate the problem like if its a failed component then i just replace that one and its good to go?

is it really just the psu thats the problem?

if i remember correctly corsair got 7 yr warranty, and im still 3 months shy of that.

Send it to service centre and tell them the 5V has problem.

Do you have a multi-meter to measure the 5V supply? Can't help you if you don't have one.
