So Trump says.
But Musk says he's ok without the EV subsidies but wants all the fatty pork gone from the bill!
EV mandate everyone to have EV and having EV subsidies are different matter? He can pass the cost to consumers...

It's like mandate everyone must jab and jab with subsidies... :/

What is fatty pork?

This is a good thing. The world is better off now that these two are no longer friends.

Same thing:
"The ‘EV mandate’ referenced by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk pertains to provisions in a tax bill passed by the House in May 2025, which Trump has championed and Musk has publicly opposed.
The bill takes a shot at EV tax credit. Section 112002 on page 30 of the One Big, Beautiful Bill document is titled ‘Termination of clean vehicle credit’. The credit was set to expire in December 2032, but a provision now ‘accelerates the expiration to December 31, 2025’. Americans would lose the ability to claim the EV tax credit in 2026, a big hit to Musk-owned Tesla."

Not like vaccine mandate.

Musk called all the unnecessary, budget-ballooning provisions in the bill PORK:
"This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination."

The statement pasted says Trump championed Musk opposed...

But the one Trump saying is Musk wanted and he himself is opposing... how same?

So it's something like that bin center that costed half a million to build that kind of "fatty pork"? ROFL... or millions/billions pumped into "AAA" companies with no clawback or funds recovering terms and conditions then subsequently raise taxes because reserve "not enough"...

I think you'd better re-read - in effect, the Big Beautiful proposes to remove the EV credits (so-called mandate). Trump claims Musk opposes this but Musk has (within the last 24hrs) tweeted that he doesn't mind it gone as long as other PORK bits are also gone.

Aiyah both also flip-flopped like Japanese slippers so who to believe?

Everyone should already know from day one that Musk and Trump cannot work together in the long term because their objectives are different. They will crash on each other eventually if they continue to work together.

Musk is not a politician nor an elected MP, etc. He is just a businessman. Technically, he shouldn't meddling with Trump and his team.

The negativity of Musk has affected Trump's rating. Obviously Trump has to cut off with Musk. Any politicians will do that.

Each of them should go back to their respective places.

Meaning Trump statement about "forced everyone to buy" is false lah? It's more like if buy EV can get some subsidies, which make it more attractive and tempting to buy and not being forced.

Why would they want to cut the EV subsidies totally away though... cuz will hurt petroleum and oil companies? US overstock too much on petroleum and oil?

Because Trump & co see it as a Dem initiative. He is more supportive of Big Oil (drill baby drill) and ICE tech.

That's why Musk is stupid - Tesla's customers tend to be the liberal, save-the-planet demographic. Don't know why he wants to upset them. Now he kena whacked from both sides.
