Hi All,

Anyone can recommend which TV Repair company in Singapore can best do repairs on a Pioneer KRP-M01 Media Receiver? This Media Receiver is for the Pioneer KRP-500A Kuro Plasma Panel TV.

The issue with the Media Receiver is that it will keep going to Standby Mode when I press the Power On button on the remote control with a Blue LED signal flashing 8 times in a row on the Media Receiver. Based on what I’ve read so far on the Internet, it seems that 1 of the Voltage Regulators is faulty.

Can someone please help advise? Thanks in advance.

I had that, it was the end of my Pioneer. Good luck with your search..
The good news is that a OLED TV is cheaper, brighter and produces better blacks...

Dont think their service center is still around. Has their home HIFI system with bad DVD player. Also dont know where to get spare part to repair.

I have some soldering tool. If can identify which regulator is bad. I may be able to help to replace the components. But to trouble shoot, my skill not enough.

Hi All,

I have a Samsung UA55NU8000KXXXS bought in 2018 and is now out of warranty.
Since last night it starts to turn on and off by itself, with no image at all but can hear sound from the TV.
Can't do anything with the remote control as well.

Have to turn off the power to fully power it down. Read about it online and it seems to be a power cycling issue?
Does any one know the rough cost of fixing a power cycling issue?

Checked with Samsung, minimum cost is $80 for onsite evaluation, if decide to proceed with repair, its another $160 for labor cost and havent include parts yet.

May be power board is bad. Try to search TaoBao with your model to find a new power board.

Not a day service my agent labour cost is very high.

I have a TCL 55p8m with left side slight flickering. Any idea how to fix? TCL said panel issue SGD 500 to replace. I bought this tv brand new 1 and a half year ago. Really disappointed that it failed so soon. Any suggestions are welcome. Flicker is slow and TV still watchable but gets annoying eventually. If no fix then would like to sell for parts. Any idea how much I can get?
Had similar issue with 55p8m and fixed it via a tape (super thin that you need a penknife as scissor will be hard).

Quite easy, unscrew and take out the bottom cover then unhook 1 out of the 2 cable connected to the tv at the bottom (can also unhook from the motherboard but I didn’t want to open the case fully) and see which one is the issue. Slowly find pin 12-13 of the affected cable (your flickering is one the left so I think left cable, 12-13 pin from which side of the left cable idk so just trial and error - try counting from left, if cannot count from the right haha) and use clear tape.

Go YouTube and see. Where to unscrew and which cable to unhook and for which pin to tape.

2 person job if you don’t want to remove the whole cover, I don’t dare to unhook those small cable to completely open the case so I only open a small gap while another person have to tape it (use torchlight as the pin is hard to see being super small).

Also, I prefer the tv to stand upside down instead of lie flat and be careful not to open the case too wide as it would rip those small cables if you don’t unhook them. The locking mechanism for the cable can be tricky too, I struggle to close it back after taping it (look super easy on YouTube but I struggle to lock it right)

Coincidentally, I have a working Media Receiver but with faulty panel (Red LED flashing 8 times on TV). Currently also sourcing for repair guy. One shop already attempted for two weeks without success.

Haven't decided yet, but I may choose to keep the Media Receiver as a spare if I am unable to repair the panel, or consider selling to you. Or you can let me have your panel instead?

I'll update here.

In the meantime you got two other options:

- Camp on Carousell, i have seen the Kuro 9G pop up once every few months, that's how I got my replacement

- Send to the UK for repair services https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPAIR-S...-Receiver-KRP-500A-600A-AWW1413-/162971166427

...but the new OLEDs don't last as long, they aren't built like tanks the way Kuros were

According to Pioneer's own webpage, they've outsourced the repair for home A/V equipment to another service provider. I also have a old Pioneer Hi-Fi set that is pending repair. There are a few listings on Carousell advertising Hi-Fi and amplifier repair. You can try those.
