Only big reputable hotel group has rooms with connecting door.

Get the telephone number and call them up to check if you can speak mandarin.

you have to check one by one i guess
normally only older hotels have connecting room in my impression

all hotels would always say ...
all room request are subjected to availability ...
9 out of 10 hotels that I have requested connecting room, they dont bother...

unless the hotel room type specifically put "connecting room" as their room type. For example: superior room is $ 50 per nite for two
Then they put "superior connecting room" for 4 pax @ $ 90+
thats when you confirm would get connecting room ...
