Lol after using my 2nd hand car for one yr,

I now then discover the tyre is r15 which is 15" right?

I been pumping it with recommend car tyre pressure of 230kPa which is r14 the default car tyre..

So is there major diff tt will affect fuel usage? For r15 how much shld i pump instead?

Dont like edmw say pump full tank hor..

Repeated this a few times - The average passenger car tyre's load rating / spec is based on tyre pressure at 35 psi, that translates to ~240 kpa. This does not apply to "XL" rated tyres / SUV tyres that need even more.

How does tyre size affect air pressure? A 14" tyre at 230kpa is the same as a 15" tyre at 230kpa.

size and pressure are not proportional. compare between a bicycle and a car tire. which is bigger? and does that mean the bigger tire requires or even able to take the same kind of pressure than the other?

just follow the manufacture's recommendation and probably add another 3 to 6 psi due to the road traveled.

don't forget, manufacture's recommendation rating is based on "cold tires"

thats a bad comparison
a bicycle doesn't need to sustain such heavy chassis and engine
but general pressure car tire should be in the same range depending on the usage

check the pressure on ur driver side door, normally there have recommended stock tires pressure. so if ur is larger tires than need increase, higher pressure give less rolling resistance save FC but less stable...for bicycle u need higher depend on width, the more thinner the more u need pump n can be high as 800kpa...
