don't buy souvenirs for display purposes when visiting countries with heavy traditions into black magic. coz always got the off chance that somebody want to get rid of a spirit and put it into a display souvenir (usually figurative type) and sell to tourists.

Agree. Don't go to antique shops. You dont know who the previous owners are and if they dabbled in the occult. I see those wood carvings sold in Bali, they give me goose bumps. For that matter, don't buy anything from thrift shops either. Have you guys watch the Paranormal Series?
In one episode, a man bought a fleece shirt from a thrift store. After that, he got nightmares and other weird happenings. He finally found out that the deceased owner of the shirt he bought was still very much "attached" to his shirt! He got rid of the shirt.
In another episode, this man went to Egypt and brought some tiles/bricks? home despite warnings not to. Strange things started happening and he got really sick. I couldnt remember the exact details. I think he went back to Egypt to return the items.
