Reference usually would mean to be extremely neutral and accurate, until it is good enough to be used as a "reference" to compare the accuracy and neutrality of another earphone.

sorry for digging up an old thread but does Stereo have any intentions on bringing this in? or perhaps when? this definitely looks like a keeper if they keep certain traits of the TF10 in them. one thing's definitely good for sure, they got rid of the frankenstein design.

Nothing is lacking. Compared to the tf10 it's a improvement I guess. But the cable looks cheap. iPhone cable got problems. Hard to find after market cables. Sound wise IMO it sounds weird. Improved soundstage/imaging. That's about it.

oh dear. anyway cable is a secondary issue. primarily i'm still concern with the sound. reviews of the UE900 have been good and promising thus far. i'm looking forward to auditioning it myself! heard that the UE900 has been tuned to cater the mainstream crowd

Tried the demo at Vivocity Digi...didn't like the sound.
Sounded similar to my TF10..maybe I am spoilt by the treble on my xba4.

this kinda thing is really see ur preference...

being a ue900 user for slightly over a week, i say u ll see some traces of the tf10 sound sig if u listen long enough or possess golden ears

but u ll see that the presentation of the whole music is tune more towards soundstage or imaging...

juz imagine tf10 trying to squeeze in Shure mids...


other than sound the rest is actually true upgrade over the tf10...

the cables are actually quite decent build, contrary to what others say(mayb i nv use true quality cables yet?)

the iphone cables r really really useful and i cant stress this enough.
answer calls, vol control, skip, pause track.

however i fear the iphone controls on the cable may not last... becuz after 3-4 days my iphone cable go haywire.... did an exchange liao but now i m using it with much more attention lol. dont dare any how press

i would say audition both first before coming to a decision.

it would also depend on the genre of songs you listen to. i've read that there are quite a few who still couldn't get a good fit on the UE900. the UE900 is truly a poison
