ultrabook recommendations

Hi guys,

I'm choosing a ultrabook/tablet hybrid for work.

Haswell preferred
Core i5
web surfing (multiple tabs)
word processing (abode acrobat, word)
basic gaming would be bonus
1.5k budget
LIGHT - 1.5-1.8kg (since I'll be carrying it around to work)
great construction - i forsee myself dropping it at least 2-3 times

I have my eye on the mac book air (13") but I prefer Windows as my workplace is using Windows 8 too!
Alternatively:
Toshiba Satellite U840W (non Haswell)
ASUS Vivobook S401 (haswell)
Lenovo u330p (haswell)

I would like to piggy back on your thread as we have similar requirements.

Lightweight and lasting battery are important as I want to bring it around if possible. Other than that, it must be good for Photoshop and playing DVD or even blueray (bonus).

do note that if your company/work/home requires you to use remote or join a domain, you need the pro version of windows.

For only remote, then u can just use 3rd party software like teamviewer which is free

Not sure if Macbook Air suits your need,
I myself thinking of getting MBA and run bootcamp, however I'm very new to this config, and dunno if stable anot.
Btw, I'm occasionally using autocad for work and light weight is a must.

Any apple user can help comment on "bootcamp" or parallel?

I heard boot camp slows down the MBA somewhat and drains the battery etc. Anyway, if I'm getting a MBA may as well use the Mac OS.

I don't need to join the company domain etc as this is my personal laptop.
