Guys. So i added a new GPU (Palit GTX 750ti stormx dual) in pcie slot and start up the machine but it cannot boot normally to windows. Previously i was using onboard graphics from Asrock H61m u3s3. I have a 500w PSU if it matters.

What i tried:
I googled online, some say need to remove old graphic drivers, some say dont need. Anyway i removed intel hd graphics in safe mode through add/remove programs.

Once i successfully boot to normal windows! Then i tried installing the new drivers from nvidia but the pc hang halfway during installation. I restarted anyway, it seems the pc now detects my GTX750ti card. Not sure it installed everything it needs to. Then i shutdown, went to sleep and now it cant boot to windows/safe mode!

I also updated my bios to latest version last night.

Anyone has any advice what to do next? :s22: thanks

Edit: add pc specs

try going into your bios again, there is an option there to set the default graphic, set it to pcie instead of onboard, maybe it will help.

I checked the bios and primary graphics adaptor already set to pcie. Hmm

Oh man. Guys, earlier i wanted to reinstall windows but the dvd drive got problem. No power or something, wont open. So i opened the case and replug in the cables joining the mobo and psu. Close back, disk drive opens but then its stuck on bios splash screen. The screen that says press del to go to setup screen etc

I decided to remove the new GPU from the slot and plug the vga cable to the mobo's output. Start up, now it beeps 4 short times and powers down. Nothing on screen.

I opened the case and reseated the 1 stick of ram in both slot, still cannot. Beep 4 times. Also reseated the cmos battery (what a disaster, i dropped into psu fan grills and managed to get it out!)

What else can i do, omg i thought installing a new gpu should be a piece of cake...
