Unable to get past flash screen

Hi people,

I'm here to seek your opinions on some hardware issue that's causing my computer to load only the flash screen.

Here are the hardware specs of my computer,

MSI 870A-G54 Motherboard AMD Socket AM3
1 X WD 500gb Caviar Blue HDD 7200/Sata3/32MB
2 X HD5850 Sapphire Power Color 1 GB PCI-E
1 X Seasonic 620 W M12-II-620W ATX Power Supply
1 X Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ
AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHZ 2MB Processor

Symptoms and issues:
The problem arose through occasional computer hangups, which forced my computer to be auto-rebooted.

My computer screen turned up blank after powering it on.

Unplugged and replugged graphics card, relying on one graphics card atm. This allowed my computer to turn up the flash screen, albeit it got stuck there.

Unplugged SATA cable to HDD, and computer managed to get into BIOS. Replug the SATA cable to HDD, computer failed to get into BIOS, instead it got stuck on the Motherboard flashscreen

Used a DVD executable program that came with motherboard and it managed to get me into the proprietary operating system belonging to MSI.

My main concern here is... Is this the fault of the HDD? that the frequent hangups may have caused it to malfunction?.... if so, would buying a replacement HDD do the trick?

what is a "flash screen" ?

or do you mean the Windows 7 - Starting Windows screen ?

I think TS is refering to the screen of mobo maker before it enters the BIOS.
High chance the HDD is corrupted. Time to RMA or replace the HDD.

3)HDD
if any of the above failed
ow wud it goes past the flash screen?

The frequent hanging causes your boot up files to be corrupted or your hdd is having serious bad sectors.

Try to boot up in safe mode and do a checkdisk to clear up the corrupted system files. You may try to do the scanning in another PC.

If after doing it and you still face the same problem, then likely your hdd has gone bad.
