  • can play games and video
  • no desktop change
  • no color scheme change
  • limited customization of start menu and taskbar
  • Windows watermark in low right corner (not in full screen though iirc).
  • Limited Windows updates

So you bought a pc from mansa or aftershock and its unactivated. Unactivated Windows can you still play video games, do other windows task?

Read HWZ Forum Rules!

U can do everything. Just cannot set any themes and colour appearance. Critical updates will be given such as bug fixes and other vulnerability updates.

You will get a windows not activated watermark at the bottom.

Honestly speaking. I have been living with it for the longest time ever. Not really a deal breaker tbh.

Can do pretty much everything.
That's why I let Microsoft spy on me instead of using Linux.
Also window better gaming compatibility.

any future issues with the PC will be immediately linked to the unactivated windows
Which can be solved for $8 then.

My relative has been using unactivated windows for about a year now, works fine for simple web browsing and gaming.

can trust??
I dealt with him several times already. I upgraded my brother's laptop to SSD and MS lock the office transfer. I texted him and he event provide me MS customer support number to call. Office installation needs to have MS account. Whereas Windows just key in the serial. Just look for the chap with the dark tree avatar. Don't trust this very cheap office($20<).

If upgrade to SSD, you should clone your original OS together with application to new SSD. So you dont have to reactivate these license again. Many utilities available to do this job. One of them is Acronis. you can try to find it at Carousel or download.

The hard disk was almost dead. The clone process stalled so did a fresh installation. Not the fault of MS though because it thought that the office is still installed somewhere. Spoken to customer support and they reset it.

Yes, usually one license one PC only. I would use Acronis to clone by ignoring the bad sector option. After clone to new SDD, your windows may or may not work. You then use the windows disk to repair the OS.
