My darco tv lagging on channel 8 now...How? Any suggestion?

Haha, you have Nvidia Shield TV, then why are you looking at Ubox which is very low spec HW compared to Nvidia Shield TV? In fact the HW of Upro 2 is lower than my Tanix TX6 4GB/32GB H6 CPU which cost me RMB 260 (S$52, latest cost is even lower) plus GST and sea shipping fee from Taobao, same H6 CPU but UPro 2 only has 1GB memory and 16GB storage.

Ubox main value is the live TV service UBTV, definitely not targeting good quality AV experiences the Nvidia Shield TV will give you. In fact the S$70-80 Mi Box S will beat all Ubox in terms of Audio Video experiences, let alone the S$200++ Nvidia Shield TV.

That being said, VLC may be the wrong player to use. Try Kodi instead.

Now using Evpad pro to watch. The Ch 8 inside ETV pro is working fine but easy tv app also lagging. I ring up 03-65 guy and amazingly he still answering at this wee hours. He suggested me to update my Evpad easy tv app to the latest version and it seen like working fine. Now the problem is how to fix the DARCO dvb-t2 (Bought it from Gain city by using IMDA $100 voucher)tv channel 8 lagging?

For a secondary device to play contents on your portable drive, you can consider cheaper alternative to Nvidia Shield TV. For example, Tanix TX5 Max 4GB/32GB version with S905X2 CPU, which can handle Kodi very well and cost around S$75 to S$90 from Lazada. You will not get Netflix HD function or Google Chromecast function of the Nvidia Shield TV though.

Some people need to spoonfeed. Uncle happy tonight so post it. Use Google DNS to bypass all the telecos. If u want try cloudflare put 1.1.1.1 instead.

Yes. Your settings are correct in your router configuration. Don't use Singapore, Aus, oversea icons. Just launch the normal live TV icon will do.

Wasnt intending on posting a follow up, but got ppl private message me asking questions so here i am.

First and foremost, please dont message me asking questions like evpad 3 or upro 2 better. I am not a seller so i dont have multiple boxes on hand to do direct comparisons. There are comparison videos on youtube or you can head down to sim lim where there are shops with demo sets for both you can test.

Next, i rate the evpad 3 pro box 4/10 simply because it not good enough for my usage needs and it failed to meet my expectations. Apart from the points made in the previous post regarding issues with the iptv app, there are also some quirks with the hardware which i wont go into details since most folks dont concern themselves with the hardware when buying this kind of boxes. However, dont see the score as a deterrent if you are interested in the box. You might have different expectations and usage for box so it might suit you better.

Now, a few things to add upon further testing.
-Mars VOD: playback is generally smooth and content is updated fast. Game of Throne S8EP01 was already uploaded when i checked at 5pm yesterday. For subs and dubbing, newer HK drama released in 2019 have choice of original canton audio + chinese subs or chinese dubbing + chinese subs. Older catalog only have standard canton audio + chinese subs. Korean and english drama only have chinese subs. Not very user friendly for folks who dont read or understand chinese.

-Mars Livetv: Watched a couple of epl games during the wkend on astro channel. Generally quite smooth with abit of lag and buffering here and there. A big plus point is the channels are only around 1 minute behind real time. I have used other iptv apps or boxes that run 3-4 minutes behind real time and its an annoyance especially when watching sports.

Lastly, i dont reply to pm so stop pm-ing me with questions. If you are truly interested in the box, head down to sim lim shops to test it out for yourself.

I can understand why people still go for EVpad or Ubox. Still EVpad live TV app may be blocked in the future as well if the rights holder lodges complaints to the court, just like UBTV.

And the live TV app is again the main value of EVpad, because the HW of EVpad 3 Max will not be higher than S$60.

Tanix TX6 4G/32GB box with the same H6 CPU costs around S$55 in Lazada. And the 2GB/16GB variation is only S$42.

On a separate note, EVpad 3 series have a better point than Ubox Upro and UPro 2 since they have 2GB memory. So if the apps are blocked, it is still possible usable as a generic TV box. UPro and UPro 2 will not be as good in that case due to lower 1GB memory. Still usable though as long as you use a few apps only.

Edit to add: I am not saying I will recommend Tanix TX6 though. H6 CPU has some thermal issues, better to buy S905X2 boxes.

Taiwan law passed to make it illegal to sell preloaded box like Ubox 安博盒子 and 千寻盒子.

This is similar to the upcoming IP protection law proposed in Singapore.

The new law makes it illegal to upload apps with illegal audio video links on-line, to help others download such apps, or to sell TV boxes containing such apps.

The law does not target consumers buying the box. Still consumers may be affected because the apps may not work if the apps are blocked.

I bought unblock TV to specifically watch korean channels (esp music) and my favourite channel Mnet seems to be showing Sky Drama instead (though it still says mnet in the channel list).

Does anyone know how I can ask the unblock people to fix this?

Does this happen usually and then go back to normal?

You are at the mercy of unblock when it comes to problems with the live channels. Complaining or "asking" unblock to fix is a waste of time since you wont be the first to complain about the same thing to them and they already know about it. Its really up to them to fix the problem, if and when.

You bought the wrong box. what you need is a cheap box $30 box such as tanix tx3 mini, and install zaltv from playstore.

just set up the app with the number 3983615877.

UBTV is ubox app. Ubox is available for purchase, but u may experience blockage from loading. But got way to overcome it.
