Is it possible to downclock my 5800x when I am in windows but not gaming? But when I am gaming even in full windows screen mode , it will disable the downclock.. I want to reduce heat emission as much as possible while not gaming. Is there such a thing? Thanks!

I think that comes with the CPU :)

Not only will Ryzen downclock individual cores, it will also sleep cores to cut down power use. Just run Ryzen Master and you can see the downclock/sleeping cores.

Ensure AMD Chipset driver is installed, there are certain components in the driver package
which ensure the AMD CPU is downclock during no load/light activities.

Why need to underclock, clock speed will auto lower itself when not in use. I'm using a 5800x.

Only one tab chrome is running in windows.

You can also turn on C states in cpu power management in bios, it put cpu core to sleep when not in use to
reduce power and heat.

you should just go invest in Liquid CPU Cooler if Heat is your concern.

Maybe TS can share his full setup and temperature reading as heat emissions might not from cpu alone but GPU and system fan curve as a whole
