Undervolting i7 7700

Hi all.

I have a i7 7700 with Gigabyte H270 Gaming motherboard (updated to latest BIOS) and I want to undervolt my CPU as I am aware that the stock intel/mobo voltage is on the high side.

I changed the Vcore through the BIOS. From default of 1.16v to 1.10v

However, when I monitored the CPU stats in CPU-ID, I see that my voltage is forever stuck at 1.10v even though the when the PC is idle running at 800 MHz. (By right the voltage should drop according based on the clock speeds)

There is an option to adjust the core using the Dynamic Core (DVID) as well. But I'm unsure of what values I should use.

Can anyone advise?

If you set a fixed Vcore, it will remain static. If you set an offset voltage instead, the CPU should downvolt at idle/low load. Since you've already found that 1.10V is stable, you can set an offset Vcore of -0.06V (take note that the sign is negative).
