Hello!

Currently i have a Olvl cert, i've stopped studying for a couple of years and im thinking of studying again to get a degree. I'm planning to get a Diploma in Management from SIM, then (hopefully) be able to get into a degree course in SIM. I'm considering:
bachelor of science in marketing (southhampton)
bachelor of business (management) (RMIT)
bachelor of science in business & management (UOL)
bachelor of science business management (birmingham)

Question - Is it a feasible idea to go ahead to continue my studies?
I'm worried that after i attain my Dip in SIM, i might not be able to enter a degree course, then it would render my SIM Dip pretty useless since it's not as recognised as a poly Dip.

If yes, which course is good to go into? I'm looking at something that's not too hard to pass and useful in society.

If you you have any other advice for me/course you would recommend i enter, i would appreciate it if you could let me know! In a dilemma rn and really need some advice. thanks!

Well, if you actually went to look at the simge site, you'd notice that that you can enter the UOL programme, along with the others, using the SIM diploma. It says so right there -.-

"Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business and
Management
FT & PT basis.
2 years;
4 units of exemption will be awarded
upon obtaining B- (50%) or better in the
SIM bridging courses in Economics and
Mathematics."

Yup i know that. (-.-) i can get into all 4 course according to the education progression list, but im asking, how hard is it to get into the degree courses, considering that there are other poly/jc students vying for a spot? would i have a lesser chance of getting in, due to my diploma that is less recognised as a regular diploma?

Not recognize by Government for job in Diploma position cause it is not on par with Polytechnic Diploma.

Apart from UniSIM or SIM GE, SIM Diploma is not recognize by other local universities such as NUS, NTU & SMU.

Like other PEIs, it depend if SIM have relationship with the overseas university that you are interested to study to be consider recognizing their private/SIM diploma.

SIM diploma is the same as any local diploma if u enroll in SIM course. They don't discriminate

Ah, really?? (ideally i would like to study in sg, but) thanks for letting me know!! :)

No its not. SIM diploma is not the same as local diploma. Its not even on par as local diplomas. Try applying to NUS/NTU with an SIM diploma. Private diplomas here are only worth as much to the institute that gives them out.

If you are intending to take an SIM diploma, you'd better make sure you want to enrol into SIM for a degree. SIM diploma is a stepping stone toward an SIMGE degree. Don't stop at just the diploma because its not worth.
