Sometimes, we need fashion merchandisers who are more pro-active in having a taste for popular clothings and playing a constructive role in bringing these clothings to the store.

Sigh..1st day, qty already not enough..it'll reflect terribly on uniqlo's part.

It's by Wing Tai anyway, which means
Singaporean fashion merchandisers = CMI :)

The Japanese didn't bother coming down here, the only place they were really nervous about was when they were making landfall in New York. Their success in NY is the biggest milestone for them. SG? Who the f*ck cares? :s13:

OOS? Almost like Hungry Uniqlo-deprived Festival.

Guess I've to be there tml morn if I even stand a chance to try on one of their jeans before the weekend come.

After the weekend onslaught, I think they can rest for few weeks liao la.

I mean, choose lor:

1. Fashion, finance, marketing capital of the world from the most powerful country which is full of arrogant dipsh1ts who think they know better than anyone else when actually they do.

2. Some random country in S.E.Asia.

but kudos to their marketing team though, they're on-par, if not even better than the Americans..or... New Yorkers.

i should think they would be expecting the crowd...considering the whole Tampines MRT is plastered with their ads...and the full page ads they took out in TODAY and ST

managers != merchandisers.

They need those guys there because Singaporeans can't do cust. service for nuts.
The Singaporean staff were very friendly leh...non stop greeting and apologising for the waits...

i was there at abt 1....queued abt 5 mins to enter the store...madhouse. So many ppl...but variety of tees were there.

One UT i wanted...no size! Left all Xl only...seems that was one of the most popular model. Hooted 2 pairs of jeans for 49.90 each. Love the material. But had to queue abt 35mins for the fitting room. They only have 3 rooms at the men's department! But the fitting room is rather big and they follow the style of asking customers to remove shoes as in Japan.

Seriously, they need to have more fitting rooms man...the store is huge, but I think smaller Giordano and G2000 stores have more fitting rooms than them!

Staff were freindly and kept welcoming customers; the manager was apologizing in person and over the PA system for the long waiting lines at the fitting rooms and the cashiers. But the cashier queue moved rather fast. Think avg 3-10 min wait.

Fitting room queue is really the worst. Be prepared to wait up to an hour. Last I saw, there were abouyt 35 ppl in line. max can try 4 pieces. So if you are trying tees, don't bother queuing. Just wear over. Queue only if you need to try jeans and maybe shorts.

They do promise their 1 hr free alteration service though. But i decided to go home and measure properly and go down another day to get it altered. If not everything like so messy over there.

they have speciual buys from 4.90...but I didn't bother rummaging through the messy bins.

I think it will take at least 1 month for the hype to die down. The first 10 days will be especially crowded due to the special sales...good luck to those going tmr and over the weekend. Be prepared for a 'wild' shopping experience!

Loved the store layout, colours lighting etc though...very bright and cheery
which UT model are u referring to?

Maybe later will walk pass to look see, certainly not gonna queue for it :) To me the tees , jeans and even the boxers (if they have) can buy ..... the rest look pretty ordinary
Lets just hope their next store in Ion (right?) will be as big and swee as the one at Ginza.

Cheers :)
