Yes it's universal. One thing I like about UM, can send for customization in future. If doesn't suit can also switch back to universal. Painful to wallet...but at least possible to do such switching.

oic, i wana noe wat ur thoughts on the universal mentor, their fiting etc, sound wise i already demo at stereo that time, their univeral fitting is the best compare to their previous universals like miracle or merlin, nw juggling between universal or customs

my thought is ..if you already demo the universal at stereo before...you should already get a feel on the universal fit...no?

for me...i have audition the universal fit twice...i can say it's quite a good 1..i can get good isolation compare to my w4r...

only issue is the earphone stick out quite a lot ..i dont like the feeling of wearing tf10...so i go for custom instead of universal.. :)

Fitting and seal lose out slightly to SE846. Which is one of the best i ever come across in a universal. I have odd size ear which i have serious problem with past iem. TF10, IE8 IE80 IE800 etc.

I don't have much problem with Mentor fitting. The most i ever need to adjust is once or twice and after that it stay in place. For a 10 drivers IEM, Mentor is surprisingly light. I guess the light weight does help the tip to have better grip on to my ear.

I go for universal because it will be much hassle free if i decide to pass it to family member. Another reason being...playing with tip can sometime have unexpected result on the sound. :s13:

If fitting no problem and ok with isolation, then go for universal lor. Save 200+ for custom and 60 for impression. Can share and easier to sell compare to custom.

Yes the beauty of custom is personlisation. I might also do it sometime later. This time around, moni save on custom, plus abit more, i throw in a Toxic Virus cable. Everything improve and sq push to another level. No regret at all. :s13:
