Hi. I'm still looking into getting my first CIEM because my old buddy westone 3 is a little damaged. went down to ion stereo today and saw a UM that is high+mid+low 3 way crossover, similar to westone 3 setup (pardon me if I'm wrong). Can't remember the name of it, but I remember it is sub-$700 which is within my budget right now. Will this be recommended for someone who's used to westone 3 sound signature?

From UM models, the Aero and 3DD falls under the price range that you've mentioned. However, it is the UM Aero that is closer to Westone 3 in terms of a more forward sound signature and bass. Spare us some time and feel free to audition the demo unit and let your ears be the judge. Feel free to let the staff know about your opinion so they can further assist you. Cheers!

is there any triple driver CIEMs that have 1low-1mid-1high configuration just like Westone UM3x?

i love a balanced IEM but it seems that Unique Melody doesnt' offer that unless i went for the Mage which has 2-1-1.

looking for clarity though

and also how much to do the impressions?

Seems that you've missed/or yet to check out UM's 6-drivers Miracle (2-2-2 with 3-way crossover). if you're looking for a flat across the spectrum CIEM, the Miracle is not a bad way to go...

i have a custom reshelled UM3x, but eversince i picked up the Miracle, it has been sitting in the case since...

If you are looking for a 3-way triple driver CIEM, can also look at 1964 V3.
Definitely cheaper than UERM, though personally, UERM might be the better performer technically.

If $$$ is no an issue, can consider JH13FP or Fitear 333 as well.
These few CIEM are more of the clarity gang ones.

Plus one for Miracle, though it's an oldie, it's still my faithful reference.

IMHO Mage sounds a lot like W4, which has quite a musical (some say sweet) sound signature. The Aero does remind me of W3, though. It's more forward, bright and slightly airy.

I am looking forward to try the Miracle.

Didn't try Aero. Didn't like Mage coz personally felt the vocals is a bit recessed.

Miracle hit a beautiful sweet spot for the wonderful treble presentation and great soundstage performance.
Mids is pretty clear, though some call it recessed (I could never quite understand why though).

Hi Thanks, yeah i was looking around but Aero definitely not going to fit my needs as the emphasis is more on bass.

1964 v3 looks good, i'll check on it .. thanks!
