Where can we audition spiral way, ear sonic and harmony?

For vocals u might want to look outside of UM. I have the mentor and vocal isn't its best trait. And like others said, men and women have different vocal range. Try doing your research on head-fi.org forums, they have lots of comparisons there.

As for custom designs, u need to do ciem or universal ciem and provide Stereo your designs in a file. OR u can simply just choose their simpler UM logos and faceplates.

But most importantly, what is your budget? Don't decide on something only to find out its very expensive. Set your budget, see what u can afford and weight the pros and cons of each ciem, also don't limit to just UM, although stereo can make things a lot easier.

u can ask Stereo's staff for recommendation on iem for vocals, since u are there to test the UMs u might as well make ur trip worthwhile

my opinion

They still have the Legacy, imo a more forward presentation of Mentor with lesser bass but higher resolution, but most high end iems are close in term of capabilities and boils down to preference.

If your favorite music genre is almost vocal, especially male vocal with studio recording version, i can believe tg334 do the best with no doubt, but the result is reverse if you only like female vocal. Female vocal in high notes still not airy in tg334. I think it's quite reasonable bcuz the best thing of tg334 is bass texture and mid-range (tg334 is a legend of mid-range), so we can't force it show the sparkle high-extension.

I made a comparison between tg334, mh335dw and mh334. If you like some kinds of music that has slow-speed, mh335dw seems do better in bass texture, more impact and well-controlled. But when i switched to Pop-music or some songs with fast speed, mh335dw is quite hard to enjoy bcuz of its bass texture. And surprisingly, mh334 is the best imo. Tg334 has 3 version, v1 is nearly impossible to find, but i think v2 and v3, especially v3 did the good upgrade with the high-extension.

I have almost heard all Earsonic's product, and honestly speaking, i will get it out of my favorite iem listing.

And of course, K10 is the only IEM that can play pretty good with all kinds of music. In the mid-range, tg334 still better than k10, but when you play some live recording songs (with many instruments), k10 is really a beast with its huge soundstage and detail.

UM series is quite famous, i have had chance to audition some kind of them (mason, maverick, miracle and mentor) but UM Legacy, it's not in my local country so i don't dare to review anything. But i think the quality of re-shelling or custom service nowadays quite bad.

Anyone here has had chance to try Vision Ears V6 and SE 5way Ref or Ulti? it makes me quite curious.
Actually, i absolutely feel good with Mh334. But i still want to look around some more iems to temporarily end my audio-journey ^^.

I've tried mh334 on multiple occasions and the vocals is one of the most emotional I've heard yet still being crystal clear imo.

But price also a bit high. A bit.

I have both mh 334 and tg 334. Just have to say that tg 334 sounds way more aggressive than mh 334. 334 is very controlled. Both have very good vocals but if you looking for power go tg 334. Both are very capable iems

Yea not that big of a diff at all... but ult is a tad more neutral. Ref is more organic n rich... Kind of ironic lol


That being said both are very organic n thick. Not flat or reference at all.

And it's silicone... so it's hard to fit properly without lube if u have dry ears. My friend n I both feel it's damn pain to put silicone ciem in without lube... its rly ear rape haha

yea, i have tried um mentor at stereo and find the sq suits me. now need to check other another shortlist noble k10 which i think cost much more..

Hi, I have a pair of um merlins that was passed to me. The customs do not fit my ear hence I'm looking for a reshell of the Merlin, but Will the reshelling affect the original sound reproduction in any way? Will the placement of drivers be the exact as the original after reshelling?

at this price point i would go the the customs as a good fit/seal is very crucial for your ciem to sound its best. build wise i'm not sure as i have not own one yet lol but designs quite nice from what i see in um's fb page. i'm comparing at the build quality and design option against others like noble, jh before taking the plunge. any feedback from fellow bros here would be great.

since its not your customs sure don't fit your ear lah, need to re-shell it bro. by rite, since re-shell and tuned based on your ear impressions should sound better i suppose.

For reshelling it will also be done in Germany right? Roughly how long?
