Unisim CU exemptions?

hi all,

i noticed some courses BSc Business and Bsc Finance have some common modules (ACC201e and ACC203e)

now suppos i have already taken those 2 before, would the 10CUs taken counted towards the CU requirement to graduate, if i were to switch programme from Bsc business to Bsc finance?

It depends on what the programme rules are. They may all be finance, but the rules governing graduations may be different.

A cauliflower and cai xin may both be vegetables but they are still different so you can't assume like its a walk in a supermarket and assume that things work they way you think they should. More so if you are in a SIMGE programme.

Check with your registrar/admissions office with regards to it. Anybody can say otherwise and it will still be inaccurate.

I believe you would be able to transfer your CUs over. A module u took in poly that's similar sounding to the module in UNISIM is not same in content. Most probably,the content taught in poly is covered in only 1st 2 lectures in uni.

Unisim used to have credit exemptions,now you must take challenge exam and pass the module to be exempted from it.

i emailed them and they gave me the answer in your link.

enrolled in bsc Business offered by unisim, both programmes has the same common modules offered. so im guessing common module codes = common credit units?

I understand that you would prefer a yes/no answer, but to me the FAQ I linked you to says yes pretty clearly, since they do allow the transfer of CUs and the modules taken are the same. For lower level subjects, one module can be taken by students across different programmes (just check your class list to know what I mean).

I read some of the other FAQs, and they don't apply to you directly but you might find them helpful to your case too. One says that retired courses may be transferred over if relevant to your new programme, so I don't see why they wouldn't allow yours when the modules are existing ones with the same code. Another one says that the courses relevant to your new programme must have a CGPA of at least 2.0.
