Any advice on which degree is better?
UNISIM BSc Business or RMIT Bachelor of Business (Management)

Am confused on which one I should choose. Will appreciate if some advice is given.

I notice the SIM bank study loan state Maybank/RHB Bank Berhad and POSB. That means I can only apply with these 3 banks only? I notice CIMB rate seem low.

Did anyone also apply bank loan? Which bank did you all apply to? How does it actually works? The bank credit all the money into your account at once or?

You can look at which one you personally prefer; at the undergraduate level, both are the same in terms of curriculum and as such.

For the bank loan, you do need a guarantor, but they would not necessarily send you all the money at once; they would release the money to you bit by bit, everytime you need to pay the bills. I used to issue letters/invoices to students whom need it to show to their bank for such stuff.

My advice is, try not to take up a bank loan unless it is absolutely necessary; a much better way would be to do the course slower or to take it step by step.

Both choices that you stated have no honours option.
- UniSIM will be able to open doors for you in public sector, but don't expect too much salary or higher position, because your course choice for UniSIM do not have honours classification.
- For RMIT, you may need to travel to Australia to complete your honour year, if honours classification is important to you.

You can only apply for bank loans in one of the institution's assigned banks.
The banks will deal directly with the institution, you will not receive any cash on your hand.
- unless the loan has an allowance component.

I'm not sure what is your highest qualification, if possible I suggest that you apply for full-time business programmes from SIT and UniSIM.

Thanks for all the advice.

But I thought for unisim business, can go for honour if study for another year, total 4 years of duration. For unisim, can seem to find 3years business degrees with honour.

For simge, unless I go for uol but heard if fail the exam=fail the degree also.

Having local poly cert. Did consider studying full time but don't have enough money and also too old. Majority of full timers are very young. Working full time and study part time can allow me to have money for my allowance etc..

Or maybe I can consider kaplan ucd bachelor of business studies (honour) in management? Shorter duration and with honour.

Yes, UniSIM Business have no honours option. Only a handful of UniSIM Part-time degrees and all UniSIM Full-time programmes are honours degrees.

You will find a very different demographic at university level, regardless whether from Singapore universities or private institution.
- There will be people who are in the same age category as you.
- You don't have to be afraid of being ostracised, as long as you act your age and proper.
- People you meet at university level are a bit more mentally mature than in polytechnic.
- If you are Singaporean, you will be granted MOE tuition grant and eligible to apply for tuition fee loan and study loan in Singapore universities. Bursaries are also provided.

Kaplan UCD Business is a fine course.
